Client: Red Robin, a casual dining restaurant chain based in Greenwood Village, Colorado
Problem: They had a high turnover rate among young workers, which is common in the restaurant industry, and were looking to find new ways to engage and retain their staff.
Intelligence: Based on several studies focused on generational workplace preferences, Workplace Intelligence recommended two strategies: let employees set flexible schedules and to make their executives more visible.
Results: They decreased their turnover rate by allowing employees to take Friday afternoons off, banned Friday meetings and their CEO personally hands out food at least once a quarter.
